knights armor and insignias
so, my warrior is getting updated armor and i am looking at a full knights set/full set with knights insig's on it. will my damage reduction be -15 if i get all 5 or just -3? the insignias dont say non-stacking. also, what about absorption runes? do they stack, seeing as they are the only runes that say neither "stacking" or "non-stacking"
thanks... i think. the link doesn't tell me anything i already don't know, but if i understand you correctly, if i have full knights and get hit it will be -3dmg no matter where i'm hit? and if i only have chest piece and am hit there its -3, but if im hit in the head there is no reduction? and with absorbtion, if i have 5 absorbtion runes it will give me -5 dmg reduction total(assuming they are all minor) or -15 if all sup? Damage reduction insignias only apply to the armor piece they're on, so no you won't have -15 physical.
http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Knight%27s_Insignia Absorption runes apply to all hits taken, however. |

Absorption runes don't stack with each other, so there is no point in using more than one. However, the absorption rune will stack with the knight's insignias, for a total dmg reduction of -6 (vs physical).

Didn't warrior's drop the absorption rune in PvP though or just me since most warriors swap to elemental weapons when vs.ing other wars. |

To make things clear:
Whenever you are hit in GW, one of your amour pieces gets the hit and the effects of that armour piece are applied to the hit. So, if you are hit for 5 physical damage on a location with a knight's insignia, the 5 damage will be reduced by 3. Consequently, knight's insignia will offer a maximum absorbtion of 3, and that only to hits that strike armor pieces with the insignia. Runes' effects are global, so an absorbtion rune will stack with the knights insignia, offering 6 damage reduction. |
